Dual Boat Lifts & Composite Dock

Residential canal, Broward County

Two boats, one stretch of seawall, and a simple requirement: both hulls out of the water, both boats ready to run, neither lift crowding the other.

The challenge

Placing two lifts side by side multiplies every constraint. Piling layout has to serve both cradles without interfering with dock access, each lift needs honest load capacity for its boat, and the whole arrangement has to fit the available water frontage while leaving room to board, rinse, and rig comfortably from the dock.

Our solution

We planned the piling layout around both boats from the start rather than fitting a second lift in later. Each set of pilings was driven to secure bearing using the method the bottom conditions called for, and the composite-decked dock was arranged so that every cleat, ladder, and lift control falls where a boater actually wants it.

Both boats now store dry above the waterline — protected between outings, and minutes from open water when the weekend arrives.
